I’m a Winnipeg girl thru and thru.

A former River East Kodiak, I did the post-secondary thing at Red River, the U of W and Carleton University in Ottawa. Yep, I’m a smarty-pants, a word-nerd who loves crosswords, scrabble and trivial pursuit.

I grew up loving live music above all else. I spent most of my formative years at the West End Cultural Center, The Pyramid and some venues that are no longer with us (*sniff* R.I.P. Le Rendezvous, Die Machine, The Albert). You can still find me rocking out at shows or dancing my face off to awesome local DJs. Working at a radio station where I get to talk about music all day is a freakin dream come true!

I'm a big sports fan too. I’ve been going to Bomber games since I was old enough to shake blue and gold pom-poms. Now that the Jets are back, I’ve never loved hockey more. (I finally understand how some dudes get super worked up when their team has its back against a wall.)

One of the things I love most about Winnipeg is our amazing arts community. It’s known all over the country that we show our artists love like no other city and in return there’s always something going on; exhibits, films, concerts… Tune in to my show Monday –Friday 10-3 and I’ll keep you in the know about all the cool stuff happening around town along with the best music and killer prizes.
