Did Drake and Chris Brown brawl over Rihanna?

Drake has been vocal in the past about his less-than-positive feelings towards Chris Brown, and has been romantically linked to Rihanna in the past.

We don’t think there’s anyone who hasn’t heard the rumours about Chris Brown and Rihanna getting back together in recent months.

Both the NYPD and Brown’s Twitter have confirmed that Breezy and Drizzy were involved in an violent altercation at a Manhattan nightclub at around 4 a.m. last night/this morning, reports TMZ.

No arrests were made (both the stars had fled the scene by the time the cops showed up), but five were taken to the hospital for minor injuries, and Brown himself apparently got cut in the face. The singer tweeted an image of his gash as evidence, but has since taken down the picture. He also took down the accompanying message, which read:

“How u party wit rich n**** that hate? Lol… Throwing bottles like girls? #shameonya!.”

Which leaves open the possibility that Drake (or someone in Drake’s crew) cut Chris Brown with a bottle last night. But why?

It sounds almost too dramatic to be real (and is still unconfirmed at this point, but reports say Brown’s crew apparently sent Drake’s party a bottle of champagne (foreshadowing!) and a handwritten note while at the club. The folks at The Sun think the note might’ve said, “I’m f****** the love of your life, deal with it,” but again, that’s wildly unconfirmed at this point.

This whole thing is shaping up to have more plot twists and dramatic moments than Drake’s old show, Degrassi!
