The TRUTH about love…can you handle it?

Love…it can be wonderful. It can also bring with it pure agony and what feels like the worst pain in the world, but somewhere in between…is ”The Truth”. Who better to speak nothing but, than Pink!

As soon as her first single from the new album dropped “Blow Me (One last kiss)”, we knew…the outspoken, brutally honest, BAD A$$ chick…was back and ready to rock the world with her powerful voice and thought provoking lyrics.

There were rough patches with her husband, CAREY HART…but if you ever wondered how the two managed to sort through all the crap, reconcile and now live a life that seems like pure & simple happiness with daughter WILLOW; take a journey through Love and everything that comes with it…through the eyes of Pink.

One of my favorite tracks on the album is “Try”…

At its best, a relationship can feel like pure bliss, but at its worst…it’s confusing, it hurts and it’s exhausting. There are times you want to say “F it!” and quit…but Pink, in her hopeful song, reminds us that nothing in life that’s worth having, especially love, comes without some effort and sometimes the easiest way through those annoying tough times, is just to keep trying! What a simple and very basic idea, isn’t it? She sings, simply put:

“Where there is desire, there is gonna be a flame. Where there is a flame, someone’s bound to get burned. But just because it burns, doesn’t mean you’re gonna die. You gotta get up and TRY, TRY, TRY”

Overall, what IS “The truth about love” according to Pink? In her own words from the title track:

“The truth about love is it’s blood and it’s guts. Purebreds and mutts…sandwiches without the crust. It takes your breath ‘cause it leaves a scar but those untouched never got very far. It’s rage and it’s hate and a sick twist of fate. And that’s the truth about love!”

If you’re ever frustrated and tired of fighting with your partner and not sure how or IF things will work out, I recommend to breathe, go on a time out, call up a pal and go for dinner or something. If the pals aren’t around then find a quiet place to sit and chill. Put your headphones on and hop on the rollercoaster ride that is Pink’s entire album. Seriously!! If you don’t go through EVERY emotion with Pink and come out feeling, if not hopeful, then at the very least, less confused…then listen again! The lyrics are included inside the album, which incredibly gifted artists should do, especially when they KNOW their words can provide some comfort, insight and clarity when they’re truly understood!
