Costumes for a Cause

I LOVE Halloween and costumes in general. I usually plan and start constructing my costume around August and take it pretty seriously, right down to the last detail (see me as Jem below –truly outrageous!) After years of collecting I’ve assembled a veritable Tickle Trunk of old costumes. Now what? I don’t have room for them and they don’t come out very often.

You probably have at least one too. That perfect Halloween costume that you worked SO hard on to get just right. But now it just sits in your closet, or worse, in some box in your attic or garage.

Gags Unlimited on Osborne wants to help, in more ways than one! Bring your wearable old costumes to Gags Unlimited and you’ll receive a 15% discount on items for this year’s costume. The best part though is that your old costumes will be donated to inner city youth that can’t afford new costumes every year. Help make someone’s Halloween a bit brighter and lighten your load at the same time. It’s a win win!

We’ll be on site at 209 Osborne Wednesday October 11 from 5-7pm. Stop by, say hi, donate and create your new costume from Gags Unlimited HUGE variety of costumes and accessories. (e.g. If you need thigh holsters to perfect your Lara Croft, they’ve got ‘em!)

The donated costumes will go to Inner City Youth Alive, a non-profit organization that has been helping youth in Winnipeg’s North End since 1986. To learn more about ICYA click here.
