ELIGIBILITY: The Contest is open to legal residents of Canada, who are at least 13 years of age or older at the time of entry.

(a) Entrants under the age of majority in his or her province of residence who are otherwise eligible to enter the Contest must obtain the prior consent of his or her custodial parent or legal guardian. Entrants under the age of majority in his or her province of residence (each, a "Minor") who are otherwise eligible to enter the Contest may only enter with the consent of his or her custodial parent or legal guardian. In such a case, the custodial parent or legal guardian of the Minor must complete all required fields of the Contest entry form on the Minor's behalf, and provide his or her first name, last name, and valid email address. Failure to comply with this provision will result in disqualification of the entrant.

(b) Except persons who have won another contest or promotion of any kind from CFJL / CHWE-FM

(c) except employees and immediate family members (and/or persons domiciled with employees) of ENERGY 106FM and affiliated companies, Air Canada, Nu Frequency, and all other sponsors of Air Canada Dream Idol, their promotional, marketing or advertising agents and affiliated companies.

PRIZE INFORMATION: Prizes are not transferable, must be accepted as awarded, and may not be substituted or converted to cash, except by ENERGY 106FM as indicated below. ENERGY 106FM reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater monetary value, whether in cash or otherwise, if a prize cannot be awarded as described. ENERGY 106FM however, is not obligated to replace any prize that is not available due to factors beyond their reasonable control. In any such event, winners will not be provided with a substitute or cash equivalent for the Prize or any such part of the Prize.

PRIZE:
1 trip for 2 anywhere Air Canada flies from any departure city Air Canada flies. Prize must be used between March 10th 2012 and March 10th 2013. Total value of the prize package is dependent upon destination and timing of flight.

HOW TO PLAY: No Purchase necessary. Register on the Energy 106 website (www.energy106.ca) for the Air Canada Dream Idol singing competition including linking to your audition video on youtube by 11:59pm February 17th 2012. Your video must fit within the following criteria:

a) Must feature a solo singing performance by the person entering the contest. (No third-party entries accepted.)
b) Must be 2-4 minutes in length.
c) Must be appropriate for all ages. No vulgar, profane or inappropriate submissions will be accepted.

Energy 106 will post the valid entries to the Energy 106 website until February 17th 2012. A rating system will be open to the public for all videos, but will not be the sole determining factor in picking the semi-finalists. Alternately, contestants can participate in an open audition will be held at Grant Park Shopping Centre on February 4th. These auditions will not be shown on the Energy 106 website but will be considered along with the online auditions in choosing the semi-finalists. Representatives from Air Canada Dreams Take Flight and Energy 106 will choose the semi-finalists (number to be determined based on quantity and quality of applicants) after February 17th 2012. All semi-finalists will be contacted by February 20th, 2012.

Any semi-finalist under the age of 18 will be required to provide written consent from their parent or guardian at this time, or be disqualified.

All semi-finalists must participate in a photography session with and at least two practice sessions. Participation in both of these is required to move on to the live event.

The semi-finalists will be invited to participate in the March 10th “Air Canada Dream Idol” event. Semi-finalists must sing live at this event to move on in the contest. Voting will take place at the event, with every entrance ticket eligible as one (1) vote, with additional votes available to be purchased. A panel of judges will also score each performance. The judges will pick a winner based on both votes and judges scores. This judges’ decision will be final. The winner will be announced at the March 10th event.

CONTEST ENTRY DETAILS: Only the qualifying participant may pick up the prize won in the contest; no family member, spouse, friend or any other person may act as an agent or representative for the participant (unless approved by ENERGY 106FM promotions).

Upon being chosen as the winner, the contestant must answer an unaided time-limited mathematical skill testing question. Upon correctly answering that question, the potential winner will be declared the winner.

All participants must authentically be singing in their video/performance, or will be disqualified.

Any participant currently under contract with a record label will be disqualified.

Energy 106 reserves the right to use any video submitted to the contest for promotional and programming purposes with no compensation due to the participant or their representative(s). No compensation will be paid out to any of the participants or their representatives for their performance at the March 10th event.

Energy 106 reserves the right to disqualify or deny the application of any contestant at any time for any reason including but not limited to an audition video containing profanity or inappropriate language or actions.

Participant must provide a valid driver's license or government issued photo identification in order to be eligible to win the prize. Failure to do so may result in forfeiture of the prize. If participant wins the trip, both winner and guest must be eligible to fly in Canada.

All costs and expenses including departure tax will be incurred by the prize winners in claiming or using their prize and which are not outlined in the prize description are the sole responsibility of the prize winners. Prize must be accepted as awarded. The prize may not be sold, transferred and is not convertible to cash. Prize winner of a trip and guest are responsible for all necessary travel documents (valid passport, photo id, etc).

Winners agree that they shall not be permitted to enter or attempt to enter another Station contest, or to win or attempt to win another contest prize within 1 year of the closing date of this contest. Winners shall sign a waiver acknowledging this restriction upon claiming their prize. This restriction shall apply regardless of whether the prize is claimed or whether the waiver is signed.

ENERGY 106FM with sponsors Air Canada, Nu Frequency and all other sponsors of Air Canada Dream Idol and The Sponsors are not responsible for any damage or injury that may be suffered by prize winners in relation to the collection or use of the prize, or otherwise and prize winners agree to release and hold harmless ENERGY 106FM and the sponsors for any such damage.
