This is a VERY random, interesting and funny story.
Here is the backstory:
Papa John’s founder and former CEO John Schnatter left the company.
Schnatter said he left the company because of declining sales on the NFL’s handling of player protests in late 2017. Papa John’s was the official pizza sponsor of the NFL at the time.
Months after that, Schnatter was heard using a racial slur in audio from a training meeting. This was taped and leaked.
He stepped down as CEO shortly after that audio leaked.
Fast-forward to today:
He did not like the way things ended, and made it very clear with a recent interview.
Schnatter did an interview with a Kentucky TV station where he talked about the pizza chain… This included quality of the pizza and management.
The most talked about part of the interview is this quote: “I’ve had over 40 pizzas in the last 30 days, and it’s not the same pizza.”

During this interview, he also appears to be very “sweaty” and his voice seems a bit off.
Now people online are wondering… “What happened?”
