Twitter has launched an experiment in Canada today that will allow you to hide replies to tweet. Users outside Canada will be able to see the feature and its use but won’t be able to use it.
The platform will show you whenever a user decides to hide replies and will allow others to see what’s been hidden as a way to discourage brands or politicians from overusing the feature.
There is no timeline when the experiment will end.
Recently social media platforms are facing more government pressure to police their services better, especially ahead of the upcoming federal election.
