Winnipeg has been named the CFL hub city for the 2020 shortened season!!!
There are still tons of different things that need to be worked out, but Winnipeg was chosen over Calgary and Saskatchewan.
That being said, we still need that final approval from public health and safety officials in the province.
The CFL is also working on an agreement with the CFL Players’ Association, and federal government support to start a 2020 season during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The earliest the season could begin is September.
If all goes well, players and coaches will be in a bubble consisting of hotels, practice fields and a stadium.
The city of Winnipeg, Manitoba has been tentatively chosen as the “hub city” for a possible 2020 Canadian Football League season.
