Yes…there will apparently be a VMA show this year.
Sunday, August 30th…the MTV VMAs will the first awards show to go live since the COVID-19 pandemic began.
Now, they’ve announced the first 3 performers for the show:

While BTS is easily the biggest name on the list, Doja Cat & J Balvin are both having stellar years.

The VMAs will air live from the Barclays Center in NYC.
They’ve even included a new category: “Best Quarantine Performance“…
