The show, however, will still go on.
After a lengthy plan to host this year’s MTV VMAs at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn…the plug has officially been pulled:

Due to safety concerns, the organizers have decided not to host the event inside the arena, and rather at several venues across NYC.
You can still expect performances from the likes of Doja Cat, BTS and J Balvin.
They will be done at different outdoor venues, without a live audience.
The VMAs go down August 30th.
