One of my many favorite things about Canada is how hard it is to get away with crime in the winter… because when you leave you also leave a little treasure trail to find you.
That’s exactly what happened to some Manitoban thieves… they stole two forklifts, a front end loader, trailer, welder and various other equipment from a local business, BUT… thanks to the snowfall we had; all the employees had to do when they realized what was stolen was follow the tracks, which led them to a property about 5 kilometers from the scene of the crime. Three adults were arrested and taken to custody.
“Although this outcome was positive, we remind everyone to not attempt to follow suspects or locate stolen items. Call the police immediately and allow officers to investigate. We do not want anyone to get hurt.” said Staff Sgt. Rob Gray, detachment commander for the Gimli/Arborg RCMP detachment.
