Bumble is getting a lot of criticism over their stance on bikini photos. Many users have tried to include pictures of them in the gym wearing a sports bra or indoors taking a selfie before they jump in the pool but the photos keep getting removed. This is because of Bumbles indoor bikini policy which removes all photos of people showing lots of skin unless they are at the beach or a body of water is visible in the photo.
The reasoning is that these photos appear to be too much like underwear; a rule they rolled out in 2016. The platform also bans shirtless mirror selfies and photo’s depicting illegal behavior.
While a lot of people have been criticizing Bumble over these restrictions, the company has announced they do not intend to review their policy anytime soon.
