After months of being forced to shut down, Assiniboine Park Zoo Lights was finally given a green light to open!
“We have made modifications to the Zoo Lights experience to ensure we are in compliance with public health orders and that all in attendance can follow public health guidelines and advice. This includes:
- elimination of live music and other programming that may encourage guests to gather
- expanded site to include a larger area within the Zoo
- one-way path of travel
- date/time specific ticketing and capacity management
- separate entrance and exit for guests
- streamlined entrance procedures to keep people moving and reduce contact with staff/volunteers
- enhanced sanitization protocols
Masks are mandatory in all indoor spaces and encouraged outdoors, especially when physical distancing is more challenging or unpredictable, and during brief exchanges with other visitors, staff and volunteers.
Physical distancing is mandatory. Please maintain a distance of at least two meters (six feet) from other visitors, staff and volunteers. Physical distancing also applies to animals. Please respect all habitat barriers and barricades.
Groups of more than five people cannot gather unless they are members of the same household.” The website reads.
