Remote learning has been something many of us have had to adapt too, but the university of Manitoba has plans for a limited capacity return to students learning in person as early as this this fall. This will of course be effected by vaccine roll out and public health guidelines at that time,
President Benarroch says the following limits will be put in place during the fall term:
- Classes with a maximum registration of 20 students can proceed with in-person instruction, as space permits.
- Lab classes will be limited to no more than 25, or to the COVID-19 room capacity limit, whichever is smaller.
- Large classes will continue remotely.
40% of staff will also be allowed back on campus beginning immediately if they need to for teaching, research or other work to support their academic missions. If staff can complete these duties from home, they are still encouraged to do so.
“We are hopeful to be in a position to declare a full return to face-to-face operations in Winter Term 2022,” President Michael Benarroch wrote.
