The Manitoba Government has suspended the use of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine for people under the age of 55 years.
They are limiting the vaccine use to people between the age of 55 and 64.
This is because of some adverse symptoms in younger people noticed in the United Kingdom.
One of the possible side effects could be a serious blood clot, which could show up four to 20 days after inoculation.
Manitoba has given out about 14,000 of 18,000 AstraZeneca doses and people under 55 who have booked an appointment to get this AstraZeneca shot will be contacted and asked to cancel.
