A heat wave is coming this week! With temperatures as high as in the 40’s with the humidity… and today we have a special heat warning in effect so take care of yourself and it’s not a bad idea to carry some extra water bottles in your vehicle just incase you see anyone outside in need of one.
“A ridge of high pressure will bring with it daytime high temperatures in the low to mid thirties and overnight low temperatures in the mid to high teens.
Although the hottest air is expected to move off Saturday, temperatures still remain above normal into early next week.” A special weather statement from the weather network read.
“The risks are greater for young children, pregnant women, older adults, people with chronic illnesses and people working or exercising outdoors. Watch for the effects of heat illness: swelling, rash, cramps, fainting, heat exhaustion, heat stroke and the worsening of some health conditions.” it continued.
