You’ve heard it all, chug a glass of water before bed and take a Tylenol, milk thistle tablets, avoid sugary mix, drink coffee, eat a high carb meal, sweat it out… the list goes on and on of all these lies we’ve been told and continued to pass down generation after generation on how to cure the wretched DUH-DUH-DUUHHH… hangover.
But scientists have confirmed, after lots of research that truly, the only REAL cure to a hangover is to abstain from alcohol, or pace yourself.
“Our study has found that evidence on these hangover remedies is of very low quality and there is a need to provide more rigorous assessment,” said the study’s lead author Dr. Emmert Roberts, who added that “the surest way of preventing hangover symptoms is to abstain from alcohol or drink in moderation.”
While some methods did show improvements of hangover symptoms, nothing was actually proven to stop them from happening all together.
