There are plenty more people on the roads this year, some people have hardly driven at all in the last two years and are now back to their regular Monday-Friday driving habits on the road and we are certainly seeing the effects of that. The number of collision related fatalities has skyrocketed 85% more than last year.
They call them “Accidents” for a reason… they are almost always avoidable. This makes the tragic loss families and friends experience as a result of them that much more devastating.
RCMP are reminding drivers to slow down, buckle up, drive sober, pay attention to the road and when visibility is low due to rain, snow or fog… drive to the condition, not the speed sign.
