In the largest school shooting since the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary in 2012, 19 children and 2 teachers were killed on May 24th at Robb Elementary School in Texas.
It began when the gunmen (who I’m choosing not to name because he deserves no publicity or recognition) shot at his grandmother with two military style rifles he purchased on his 18th birthday. She was believed to be deceased, but did survive the incident and is recovering in hospital in critical condition. He then crashed his vehicle outside of the school and ran inside, armed and with body armor and began shooting inside the classrooms.
The 18 year old gunmen was killed by law enforcement on the scene. A motive (if any) for the massacre has yet to be revealed. Our hearts are heavy for the victims and their families… many of which have not been publicly named.
