Federally imposed border restrictions for travelers will remain until at least June 30th.
These restrictions will require:
- All foreign travelers to provide proof of vaccination.
- Unvaccinated Canadian citizens to provide a molecular Covid-19 test taken before entering Canada and are also required to quarantine for 14 days.
- All travelers required to submit their health/travel information via the ArriveCan app before entry to the country.
Despite some criticism from the general public and the Conservative Party calling on the government to lift the remaining travel restrictions which could see fewer delays and line ups inside Canadian airports, the federal government has deemed it necessary for the protection of Canadians to keep the measures in place while they continue to evaluate the situation.
