Tagert is only the 4th manager in the team’s history.

Greg Tagert, with 27 years of pro baseball experience, has most recently managed the Gary SouthShore RailCats for 16 seasons.
In those 16 seasons, the team had 12 winning records, made the playoffs nine times and won three championships.
Tagert is the team’s 4th manager, following in the footsteps of Forney, Hal Lanier and Doug Simunic.
The Goldeyes kick off their 2023 season on May 11th.
