Probably not a huge surprise considering the positive reviews so far, the series is currently sitting at 97% on Rotten Tomatoes. Not to mention is premiere episode was HBO’s second-most-watched series debut in a decade. HBO says the first episode has now hit 22 million viewers domestically since it released on January, 15.
It’s also been confirmed that season 2 will cover the events of the second game The Last of Us Part II.

Episode 3 of Season 1 of “The Last of Us” will release this Sunday on HBO.
