Legendary Japanese animator and filmmaker, Hayao Miyazaki, is set to return for his first film with Studio Ghibli since 2013. His latest fantasy epic is called “The Boy and The Heron” and it’ll be opening the Toronto International Film Festival, making it the first Japanese or animated film to do so.
Miyazaki is renowned internationally as the director behind Japanese animated classics like “My Neighbor Totoro,” “Spirited Away” and “Howls Moving Castle,” just to name a few. “The Boy and The Heron ” sounds like it’ll be Miyazaki’s final film before he retires. The movie is already out in Japan and will release internationally on December, 8.
